Adios, mi amigos.  I'm converting solely to livejournal because xanga is so 10 minutes ago.  (lol)

Anyway, I'll keep the site up so I can comment on other xangas, but www.livejournal.com/users/erinjess03 is my home-sweet-home now.
Much love <3

"My Love Never Fails"
By Erin J.B.

You're turning 16 shades of chartruese-
One for every year you've failed.
I hope you hold your own tonight
Since you're convinced you're on your own.

I've lost nothing for you- not love, not hope
And I've still got faith you'll live.
I'm standing on the sidelines, waiting:
You won't fall out of love.

24 hours spent searching for love?
24 hours I spent naming it "you"
7 days spent trying to move a mountain?
Maybe I like it where it is.

You're shattering yourself with false hopes,
And making promises just to break them.
Just run to me, I'm not far,
And my love? It never fails.

You're running 16 miles with bare feet-
One for every year you smiled.
I hope you hold your own tonight...
But I'll always be there when you wake.

If you don't like it, read it like I meant for it to be read: Out loud, with expression. This is a love song from a Father to His lost children; a song of hope and compassion to a hopeless and broken child.

List five songs that you currently love. It doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now.

Post these instructions, the artists, and the songs in your Xanga. Then tag five other Xanga friends to see what they're listening to.

1) Life is Wonderful by Jason Mraz
2) Oceano by Josh Groban
3) Elle G. by the Newsboys
4) Held by Natalie Grant
5) 24 by Switchfoot

"Looking for Me"
By Erin J.B.

My words are a September windsong--
Beautiful, then piercing the soul.
I a birdcall unsung--
My heart's love is lost on the air.
You were looking for me, I heard.
But, hidden in the foliage, I am silent.
A refuge for the spirit you shredded:
The mourning dove heals my scarred feet.
A light is above us; an angels, perhaps,
Calling on me to make peace.
But my sanctuary is undisturbed:
I found serenity in a wing's breeze.
Restless, my heart is on the clouds--
I escape in a songbird's blue eye.
O, for a word to tell you today
What the sparrow could name in his sleep.
My words are a September windsong--
Beautiful, but not carrying far.
Oh? You just missed me, I swear:
I'm headed, finally, for home.

I think this one is more back to my old style, but branching out a little bit with the heavy reliance on nature, especially birds. I don't like the 7th and 8th lines- I think they are weak. I love the idea that the all other animals can name the emotion of love without a thought, but the concept is so far beyond those of us in love. <3 my brain. It is so random.
Any comments?

It takes a crane to build a crane
It takes two floors to make a story
It takes an egg to make a hen
It takes a hen to make an egg
There is no end to what I'm saying

It takes a thought to make a word
And it takes a word to make an action
It takes some work to make it work
It takes some good to make it hurt
It takes some bad for satisfaction

Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la la life is full circle
Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la

It takes a night to make it dawn
And it takes a day to you yawn brother
It takes some old to make you young
It takes some cold to know the sun
It takes the one to have the other

It takes no time to fall in love
But it takes you years to know what love is
It takes some fears to make you trust
It takes those tears to make it rust
It takes some dust to make it polished

Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la la life is full circle
Ah la la la la la la life is so full of
Ah la la la la la la life is so rough
Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la la life is full circle
Ah la la la la la la life is our love
Ah la la la la la

It takes some silence to make sound
It takes a loss before you found it
It takes a road to go nowhere
It takes a toll to know you care
It takes a hole to make a mountain

Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la la life is full circle
Ah la la la la la la life is oh love
Ah la la la la la la love is all sorts of

Does anyone know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours?
<3

It's coming, I can feel it.  Can you?
These hours are going to be done and my sifting time will be over.  Maybe when Satan's done sifting me, I won't be all chaff.  I think God has more in store for me than chaff for Satan's collection.  (Don't get it?  Luke 22.31)
I'm telling you- soon I will be free and clear, LIVING and not just THINKING and OVERthinking.  I don't have a million people on my side-- in fact, there are a fair few who would like to see me fail, but that's okay.  Because I have God, and God has placed me in the middle of some folks who care about me more than I ever thought anyone could.  Thank you thank you thank you.
Soon.  Oh, mercy- soon.
Until then, though, I'ma work my absolute hardest.  There will not be an idle moment because if I've run out of things to do, I'll pray.  I've just got to keep truckin'... God's gonna make a way.  I have a feeling that He's making a way right now.
Soon.
